Last class at the prof, we made a rewiew of different methods and approaches. However, this post will be only focused on the Four Methods. The first one is COMMUNITY LANGUAGE LEARNING. It is also called counseling- learning theory. On the one hand, the teacher operates in a supportive role, monitors learners' utterances and provides assitance when requested. She/He acts as a counselor and paraphrases what the students say. On the other hand, students work together, listen to the teacher attentively, repeat target utterances and sometimes become counselors of other learners. The second one is THE SILENT WAY. In this method, students need to develop their own "inner criteria" for correctness. They should be practicing the language, not the teacher, so she is mostly silent.
